Lindy and I love sharing this studio space within the vibrant cultural Summerhall arts complex. We’ve been residents in Summerhall for over 10 years, and feel very much a part of its diverse and creative community.

Summerhall is now under threat - Proposals are being prepared for a planning application to Edinburgh council. The proposals can be seen here:
https://summerhallconsultation.co.uk/proposals.php

Redevelopment in the form of hotels and student housing under the guise of a cultural centre. Over 100 small businesses and their employees are now in danger of being evicted. Events and exhibition spaces massively reduced.

We love what we do and cannot imagine work without Summerhall!

Please take a minute to sign the petition - link in bio
If you have a little more time, please object to the proposal by this Friday 23rd October and /or write to your MP as soon as possible with your thoughts on the proposals.

@sarahrossthompson visited Copystand earlier this year with a portfolio of gorgeous etchings she planned to publish.
So great to see that The Future Too is now available from all good bookshops.
The Future Too by Patrick Ross illustrated by Sarah Ross-Thompson.

This book has to be worth checking out - lightly fantasy novel written as an epic poem with superb illustrations.
A pleasure to photograph!

Great to meet Karen from Edinburgh Shoreline in the studio with huge collaborative collaged posters from communities considering the state of species in the Firth of Forth.

Copystand has photographed them so that they can be printed and displayed at the Vine Trust Barge with a range of displays about potential futures for the health of the Firth of Forth. I reckon this will be a fascinating exhibition so put it in the diary and go!
